Made in collaboration with BAFTA-winning & GRAMMY-nominated Icelandic composer and producer Ólafur Arnalds, this versatile, multidimensional tool bends space and time through an intricate network of polyrhythmic piano performances. Awe-inspiring patterns and atmospheric clouds of harmonic refractions swell and die away at your fingertips, unfolding based on what you play and instantly sparking new ideas.

Instantly playable and easy-to-use, Stratus is presented in a bespoke interface made up of eight multi-layered piano and synthesizer matrixes, each offering a unique sonic experience — plus detailed customisation options and mind-blowing warped sounds, offering a full spectrum of emotion.

Designed for composers, songwriters and producers, this is an intimate and deeply personal set of tools, curated by BAFTA-winning & GRAMMY-nominated composer Ólafur Arnalds, recorded at his studio in Reykjavik, Iceland. It centres around a characterful ‘felted’ grand piano, as well as a comprehensive set of inspiring sonic manipulations and progressive synth sounds, designed with the writer in mind.

We join forces with BAFTA-winning & GRAMMY-nominated Icelandic composer Ólafur Arnalds (Broadchurch, Kiasmos, Erased Tapes) to record an all-star ensemble performing his latest set of awe-inspiring evolutions. The 4,3,3,3,3 ensemble of British players (Violin I II, Viola, Cello, Double Bass), led by long-term collaborator Viktor Orri Árnason, perform a range of fragile yet warm beautifully evolving phrases, recorded at the world famous Hall at AIR Studios, London. Using our Evo Grid technology, this library makes it easy to create sophisticated chamber strings music from the most simplistic of arrangements – just a few sustained notes is all you need to write inspiring dynamic textures. We also introduce Waves: a brand new innovation featuring notes that move along a wave-like dynamic arc, appearing from nothing, swelling, and then dying away again to nothing. These are accessible via our classic interface, in various styles and lengths.
