Our journey started with a vintage 1980s Baldwin Upright piano, known for its rich tone and resonance. Michael Vignola, a New York City native, is a multi-award-winning film composer and founder of Emergence Audio. Known for his innovative blend of Classical, Ambient, and Electronic music with sound design, Vignola began is sonic journey exploring the piano at 10 and taught himself guitar at 15, later performing with NYC indie bands and touring nationally. Since 2016, he has scored over 160 projects, including feature films, short films, and video games, earning 12 best soundtrack awards. His music, with over 6 billion streams and 150k sync placements, has been featured on major platforms like HBO, Netflix, PBS, Discovery, and more. Vignola’s work is celebrated for its ability to weave musical themes seamlessly into storylines, pushing the boundaries of sound design and film scoring

Underneath it all lies a carefully woven cascade of performed organic timbres developing independently over an extended period. Each layer of sound is meticulously crafted, with individual notes evolving organically, much like the intricate patterns found in nature. This

“I have a huge arsenal of piano libraries from many of the top sampling companies. I did not have high hopes that Infinite Upright would bring anything particularly new or striking to the VST table. Especially not the “lowly” upright piano. I stand corrected!! There are worlds of sound behind this instrument!!! I would dare say if you compose ambient music or aspire to, this should be your first (or next) purchase. The quality of sound and the undulating textures are simply a sublime experience. I was not expecting to be taken in by it. And this was based on just the YouTube demo playthrough before the library was released! I do own all of the other Emergence Audio products as well, so this will be the crown jewel to round off the other libraries. Seriously, you can compose for days with just the Emergence Audio suite of virtual instruments. They really are something special, unique, and NEEDED in an oversaturated sampling market!“
