To faithfully recreate the vintage string sound, we recorded a 6-piece violin section using legendary Neumann U-87 and Royer ribbon mics, processed through a world-class SSL board.

Instead of a grand concert hall, we chose a funky old studio with a tighter, less reverberant space – just like the rooms used in classic Motown and Philly Soul recordings. The result? A warm, intimate, and organic sound that perfectly fits the vintage aesthetic.
